Website relaunch in Wetzlar: planned, not hoped for
Most of what goes wrong in a relaunch goes wrong on the day of the switch: old addresses lead nowhere and the pages you ranked for disappear. We write the redirect plan before the new site goes live, move the content that earns your positions first, and agree the price before the work starts.

A relaunch is a move, and moves are where things get lost
A new design is the visible part. What decides whether the new site keeps what the old one earned happens underneath it.
Every old URL gets an address
A redirect map is written before the switch, one line per existing page, so nothing that ranks today ends up at a 404 tomorrow.
Content moves, it is not rewritten
The text that earns your positions comes across first. Rewriting it and relaunching at the same time makes it impossible to tell which change did what.
One change at a time
Titles, structure and design do not all move in the same week. It is the only way to see afterwards what worked.
Nothing left to patch
The new site runs on Next.js and Supabase, so there is no WordPress plugin stack to keep updated, and the data sits in ISO-certified German data centres.
When a relaunch is worth it
- The site is slow on a phone, and most of your visitors are on one.
- You cannot change your own text without calling someone.
- Enquiries come in by phone but almost never through the site.
- The plugin updates have become somebody’s recurring job.
- The site says something about your company that stopped being true.
If none of these apply, a relaunch is probably not the cheapest way to get what you want. We will say so in the first call.
Questions before a relaunch
Will we lose our Google rankings in the relaunch?
That is the risk the whole plan is built around. Before anything goes live we map every existing URL to its counterpart on the new site and set a permanent redirect for it, so the pages you already rank for keep an address. Content that earns those rankings moves across rather than being rewritten from scratch. Rankings still move after any relaunch; the point of the plan is that they move for reasons you chose.
How long is the site offline?
It is not. The new site is built alongside the old one and only takes over when it is finished and checked. The switch itself is a DNS change.
What does a relaunch cost?
We look at what you have now in a free initial consultation and you get a binding fixed price on request afterwards. It does not move during the project.
Do you come to us in Wetzlar?
Yes. Our office is in Wetzlar, so a meeting in the Lahn-Dill district is a short trip rather than a travel expense.
